Rice: To Eat or Not To Eat?
With the Keto diet being so popular in the last 10 years carbs have been portrayed as being bad for you. But carbs are not the enemy. They are actually an important and necessary part of a healthy diet. There are, of course, good carbs and bad carbs. So, where does rice fall in the world of carbs. Rice is a complex carbohydrate. A serving of rice has 23 grams of carbs. Based on a standard diet, if you are maintaining weight, most should eat between 225 and 325 grams of carbs a day. If you’re trying to lose weight, you can still eat as much as 125 or more carbs a day. With this in mind a serving of rice at 23 carbs can definitely fit into a weight loss diet.
