OptimizeU has formulated the Ideal Protein Stuffed Peppers to  contain 1.6 cups select vegetables, .4 cup occasional vegetables with no oil used.

We’ve made sure this meal meets all the guidelines of the Ideal Protein diet for phase 1. Our chef’s start with 2 cups of raw vegetables.  We’ve included 1.6 cups  from the select category, bell peppers and cauliflower. And we’ve included just .4 cup of occasional vegetables, tomatoes for the marinara sauce. Although tomatoes are an occasional vegetable and a bit higher in carbs, they are permitted with when controlling portion size. Our chef’s make sure to use no more than a half a cup of tomatoes in any one meal.

This weight loss meal has only 6 grams of fat and 14 net carbs  but it’s full of flavor and a chef favorite to eat!  The Ideal Protein Stuffed Peppers is sure to satisfy you, while facilitating weight loss. And if you love this meal, stay tuned once you’re in phase 3. The Phase 3 version has the same great flavors with mozzarella cheese added.

How did we formulate our version of the Stuffed Bell Peppers meal to follow IP guidelines?

We’ve partnered with Ideal Protein clinics through out St. Tammany Parish and Baton Rouge to master the art of preparing full flavored satisfying meals. And we’ve accomplished this while following the exact specifications of the Ideal Protein diet. For example,  a traditional Stuffed Pepper meal contains brown rice. Although brown rice is a complex carbohydrate and great if you’re exercising, it is not allowed in Phase 1. This is largely due because exercise is not allowed in Phase 1. Therefore, our Chef’s substitute the brown rice for cauliflower rice. Although some may not love cauliflower rice, in this meal, once baked into the bell pepper stuffing, you’ll never know you’re eating cauliflower rice.

Heating Instructions

Remove cardboard sleeve. From a thawed state In the supplied container heat on HIGH for 2-3 minutes in a 1000-watt microwave. Add additional time as needed. Let sit 1 minute, remove film, and eat!
